Summer Salad is the first painting in a series that began in the summer of 2026, which seeks to reclaim the value of time in painting.

“Pittura lenta” (slow painting) is, in fact, the central focus of this exercise, which stands in contrast to the frenzy of quick and urgent commissions that force artists to paint in just a few days.

Every centimeter was painted with care, thought through, and revised. The work took about two months to complete.
